Costa Rica Caribbean Quest

COSTA RICA CARIBBEAN QUEST

Exotic nature reserves, such as the famous Tortuguero National Park, beckon adventurous travelers, while alluring southern beaches allow visitors to relax in an easy Caribbean vibe. With a mesh of Tico and Afro-Caribbean culture, Caribbean Coast displays a unique side of Costa Rica.

Day 01: Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport (San José)
Day 02: The province of Cartago offers three of the foremost attractions combined in this tour: appreciate the majesty of the imposing Irazu Volcano, delight yourself with the exotic orchids in the Lankester Gardens and observe the panoramic beauty of the Orosi Valley. Transfer to Turrialba.
Day 03: The Guayabo Monument is one of Turrialba’s treasures, being Costa Rica’s most extensive ruins of prehistoric culture. People believe that on this side a village with more than 10.000 residents disappeared in a mysterious way just before the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. Some of the elements that were found here, including the whole architecture, have their origin in the old South American culture and others are similar to the cultures in the Northern part of the country.
Day 04: Transfer to Tortuguero National Park known as Costa Rica’s “little Amazon”.
Day 05: Enjoy a boat guided tour through the national park’s narrow canals and admire its vast green filled lush rainforests where one can appreciate abundant wildlife.
Day 06-09: Continue to the Caribbean Coast to enjoy and relax on the beach. In the way visit to Veragua Rainforest. Immerse yourself in 1300 hectares of tropical rainforest while relishing breathtaking views of endless mountains. Enjoy the world´s largest nocturnal-ambience frog habitat; delve deep into the forest on diverse walking trails and through the canopy level on an aerial tram or a zipline ("canopy tour"), admiring the sights and sounds of wild flora and fauna.
Day 10: Return to San Jose Airport.
