Day 01: Arrival at La Aurora International Airport and transfer to Antigua City.
Day 02: The colorful market in Chichicastenango (only Thursday or Sunday) attracts venders
and buyers from
the entire Highland region. Stroll through hundreds of stands and visit the Santo Thomas church. After we
drive to Panajachel, situated at the edge of Lake Atitlán. During the final descend from Solola to
Panajachel, experience amazing views of Lake Atitlán.
Day 03: Board a private boat for a full day tour of the lake. We visit 3 of the 12 villages
surrounding the
lake. We start in San Juan La Laguna, famous for its coffee plantations and handmade traditional textiles.
Afterwards we will visit Santiago Atitlan where we try to locate Maximon. Afternoon visit of San Antonio
Palopo.
Day 04: After lunch short ride to Guatemala City Airport for the afternoon flight to
Flores.
Day 05: Morning visit of the most important archeological Mayan site in Guatemala.
The Tikal site forms part of the 575 square kilometer National Park Tikal and is enclosed by vast and
pristine rainforest. The jungle with a never-ending variety of trees, plants and wildlife is as impressive
as the temples and sculptures. Afternoon transfer to the airport of Flores for domestic flight to Guatemala
City.
Day 06: Private transfer to the airport in Guatemala City. Flight to San José. For a good
look at San José,
climb on board the VIP double-decker bus. You’ll have a panoramic view of the city, including parks and busy
city streets. As you drive, your guide will give you interesting insights into the history and culture of
Costa Rica’s most vibrant city.
Day 07: This morning you will be picked at your hotel for your journey towards the Central
Mountain Range
where you will visit an authentic Costa Rican coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Poas
Volcano. The coffee plantation visit will allow you to learn about coffee cultivation and processing. La Paz
has a well-designed trail through its cloud forest that winds alongside the crystal-clear Peace River and
leads to viewing platforms that bring you up close to five beautiful waterfalls.
Day 08: Transfer to Tortuguero National Park known as Costa Rica’s “little Amazon”.
Day 09: Enjoy a boat guided tour through the national park’s narrow canals and admire its
vast green filled
lush rainforests where one can appreciate abundant wildlife. Continue to the northern lowlands of Arenal
Volcano and La Fortuna town.
Day 10: Enjoy the majestic Arenal Volcano with a series of hiking trails that brings you
through forested
areas and across some of the historic lava fields that buried much of the surrounding jungle during the
dramatic eruptions of 1992. Also enjoy the Arenal Hanging Bridges from 5 to 100 meters long, opening the
doors of a fascinating and colorful Tropical Rain Forest world.
Day 11: Enjoy the lake crossing boat transfer to Monteverde and its unique rural
Quaker/Tico community. Get
a different perspective of the cloud forest, as you literally fly through it on a ¨Zip Line¨ Canopy Tour!
Day 12: Transfer to the Pacific Coast and relax on the beach.
Day 13-14: Leisure Time at your favorite Resort.
Day 15: Return to San Jose Airport.
